Cookie Policy
Effective Date: November 2, 2026 | Version 1.1
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are commonly used to make websites work securely, remember user preferences, and provide anonymous traffic metrics. Modern web applications also use browser local storage to keep data safely on your device.
2. How We Use Cookies & Local Storage
UtilityFinch follows a strict privacy-first model compliant with the UK Data Protection Act 2018, PECR, and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Strictly Necessary Storage (Always Active): Essential security, DDoS mitigation, and routing headers provided by Cloudflare to ensure platform stability. This category also includes local storage keys used to securely record your cookie consent choices.
- Browser Local Storage: Utility tools (such as the Invoice Generator and Quotation Generator) may allow you to temporarily retain details like your company name or preferred currency on your device. This data never touches our servers.
- Performance & Anonymous Analytics (Requires Explicit Consent): With your permission, we deploy Google Analytics 4 using Google Consent Mode v2 with IP anonymization. This measures aggregate page views and feature usage (e.g. which calculators are most popular). We never collect or transmit any financial calculations, invoice items, client names, bank CSV rows, or document content.
- No Cross-Site Advertising Cookies: We do not deploy third-party ad trackers or sell visitor profile data to advertising brokers.
3. Managing Your Preferences
You can modify or withdraw your consent for analytics cookies at any time. Clicking the button below opens our consent preferences manager:
You can also clear cookies and site storage at any time through your browser settings. Disabling analytics will never restrict access to any calculator or utility tool on UtilityFinch.
